Dibrugarh: Two low-intensity bomb blasts rocked the otherwise peaceful morning of Republic Day on Sunday. In the early hours of the day, at around 7:30 am, one hand grenade went off behind Sikh National High School, leading to a part of its bordering wall caving in.

The other blast took place in Graham Bazar, near Astha Hospital. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. The sites of the blasts were busy areas. One was located inches away from the DTP Dyke, frequented by people from all walks of life for recreational purposes, and the other was close to NH-37.
