Two minors drown to death at Hokajan Tantipara village in Biswanath district

BISWANATH CHARIALI: The bodies of two minors who had been missing since Thursday were recovered on Friday by SDRF personnel with the help of local people at Hokajan Tantipara village under Chatiya police station in Biswanath district.

The minors were identified as Madina Begum (15) and her cousin Mamoni Begum (14). According to information, the minors went for a bath in the Mornoi River after returning from their paddy field. This is the second such incident at Chatiya within 24 hours. Earlier, two class V students, namely Prabal Borah and Suman Borah, drowned in a pond and lost their lives on Wednesday at Patiya Gaon village, Chatiya.
