MANGALDAI: Besides the topper in HS examination (Arts), Pubali Deka, two more girls of Mangaldai have brought laurels to Darrang district. Mayurika Deka of Ranjit Sama Academy bagged the 3rd rank securing a total mark of 473. She has secured 88 in English, 97 in Alternative English, 95 in Education, 95 in Economics, 98 in Political Science and 89 in Anthropology. Mayurika Deka, daughter of Rajen Deka, an employee of the Assam Cooperative Apex Bank, Mangaldai branch, and Lavita Talukdar, an Assistant Teacher of Chokorabosti ME Madrassa, Dalgaon, and a resident of Block Chowk here, aims to appear in the UPSC exam and will take admission in Cotton University.

On the other hand, Manashi Saharia of Brilliant Academy here secured the 4th rank. Manashi is the daughter of Bhagawan Saharia, a businessman, and Purabi Thakuria of Ward No. 10 of Mangaldai town. She secured a total mark of 472 with 95 in English, 99 in Alternative English, 93 in Anthropology, 92 in Logic and Philosophy and 93 in Geography. She desires to take up teaching as a career and will take admission in Tezpur University with English as the Major subject.

Mangaldai legislator Guru Jyoti Das and Deputy Commissioner Dilip Kumar Borah offered felicitation to Manashi Saharia at Brilliant Academy in presence of its director Rittick Choudhury, Rector Anil Sarma and Principal Jamuna Kalita Saharia. They also offered felicitation to Mayurika Deka at her residence in presence of her parents and well wishers.
