KOKRAJHAR: Two more persons of Kokrajhar town died due to infection of COVID-19 on Sunday. Sources from DC said two persons namely Nirupam Narzary aged about 42 and Umacharan Narzary aged about 75, a retired army of South Tengapara died after being tested COVID-19 positive. Nirupam Narzary of Bhattarmari, a bank branch manager died on way to GMCH as he was tested positive and had respiratory problems while Umacharan Narzary was referred to Barpeta Medical College on Saturday after he was detected positive and developed respiratory problems. It is to be noted that five doctors of Kokrajhar including Joint Director Dr. J. Ahmed have tested positive and being treated in different hospitals. Other doctors who were detected positive are - Dr. Anubha Das, Dr. Jyotish Kalita, Dr. Rajendra Kumar and Dr. Sukleswar Boro. It may be mentioned that Dr. Amal Mashahary, District Serveilance Officer and District Commander of COVID-19 warrior died recently in GMCH, Guwahati due to the deadly virus.
