Two persons die after falling into well in Bongaigaon

BONGAIGAON: Two persons died after falling into a well on Tuesday evening in the Chungapota area under New Bongaigaon police outpost of Bongaigaon. Nimai Barman (42), resident of Chungapota area, and Sanjib Debnath (45) from Borpothar of Bongaigaon, fell into the well of Nantu Chakraborty and drowned to death. Local people said that Nimai had gone to Chakraborty's house to repair the damaged well with his assistant. "He went down the well with a rope but after few minutes fell into the well. His assistant managed to escape. Then Sanjib got down to save him but he also drowned.
