Two pure drinking water schemes inaugurated in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: Two pure drinking water schemes implemented by the Public Health and Engineering Department, Lakhimpur Division under Jal Jeevan Mission were inaugurated on Thursday. These schemes are Amguri NC 2 Pure Drinking Water Scheme and Joyhing Gaon 2 Pure Drinking Water Scheme.

On this occasion, a ceremonial programme was organized in the scheme campus at Joyhing Gaon 2. Attending the event, Lakhimpur MLA Manab Deka inaugurated both schemes. Deputy Commissioner of Lakhimpur, Sumit Sattawan was present as chief guest. Executive Engineer of PHED, Lakhimpur Division, Mukul Sonowal delivered the welcome address in the programme wherein PHED officers, Joyhing Gaon Panchayat president, members and local people were present.
