MANGALDAI: The ever prompt and alert Mangaldai Police on Monday recovered two stolen motorcycles and arrested the notorious bike lifter within five hours. The bike lifter, Pinku Bania, son of Santu Bania of Baniapara near Janaramchowka under Mangaldai Police Station, on Monday at about 11 am stole a motorcycle bearing registration number AS 13 G 7828 owned by one Bhupal Deka of village Chamuapara from SBI complex and another motor cycle bearing registration number AS 13 G 5269 owned by one Tapan Chandra Deka of village Saru Thekerabari from near the Union Bank.

On receipt of the information, in-charge of Town Branch of Mangaldai Police Station, Sub-Inspector Dantejit Deuri successfully traced the lifter and after a hot chase, recovered both the motorcycles and arrested the bike lifter. The investigation is on to book the absconding gang members of the bike lifters' gang.
