GAURISAGAR: Sensation prevailed at Amguri College quarantine centre in Sivasagar district after two people in the centre tested positive for COVID-19. Bijoy Konwer (30) of Baruahpukhuri Konwer Gaon under Haluwating Police Station had been under institutional quarantine in the quarantine centre at Amguri College after returning from Mumbai on May 26. On Sunday night after his test result came positive, he was immediately admitted to Sivasagar Civil Hospital. On the other hand, on Monday morning Prasanta Basumotary (19) of Jakai Paduli village under Haluwating Police Station who was in the same quarantine centre, also tested positive. Prasanta had come from Chennai on May 27 by train. He was also admitted in Sivasagar Civil Hospital.
