GOLAGHAT: Amid Durga Puja festivities a soldier's house became the target of the thieves in Golaghat. As per the report, a soldier named Anjan Bora from the Indian Army had come to his home on leave at Nora Konwar Bongaon area under Khumtai constituency in Golaghat. On the day of Mahashtami Puja, Bora took his family to visit puja mandaps. After returning home, the family found that their scooty, a laptop, four smartphones, cash worth rupees fifteen thousand were stolen.
This incident created sharp reactions in the region. People stated that Anjan Bora who has been serving for the nation at Ladakh border in an extremely cold area is now feeling unsafe and insecure in his own native place which is really miserable. However, police has started an investigation.
