SIVASAGAR: Two more youths from Sivasagar district are suspected to have joined the ULFA-I. They have been identified as Rohini Gogoi and Shivani Gogoi. Rohini Gogoi, son of Bikheswar Gogoi and Anu Gogoi, from Dhemechi Bezpathar under Demow Police Station, is married and has two daughters, one is 5 years old and the other is 9 months old.

"My husband left home on May 13 saying that he is going to Moran. After contacting him two times, we found his mobile switched off when we tried to contact him once again. Then we got to know from news channels that he has left to join the ULFA-I, "said Pronita Gogoi, wife of Rohini Gogoi. She requested Paresh Baruah, commander-in-chief of ULFA-I, to sent her husband back home for the sake of their two daughters. On the other hand, Shivani Gogoi , daughter of Pranjal Gogoi and Dibyajyoti Gogoi, hails from Lalimachiga under Amguri Police Station and is a student of Amguri College. She is also suspected to have joined the ULFA-I. The family, after a social media post by her, suspected that Shivani has joined the outfit.

"Shivani Gogoi went out of the house on the morning of May 13 saying that she was going for college and she has been missing since then. On the basis of the complaint lodged by her family at Amguri Police Station, we have launched an investigation and recovered the student's bicycle from Amguri Railway Station, which was identified by her father Pranjal Gogoi," said police. Parents of Shivani Gogoi have appealed to the commander-in-chief of ULFA-I to return their daughter.
