UDALGURI: Udalguri Deputy Commissioner Prakash Ranjan Gharphalia took stock of the progress of Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) in Udalguri. Three more COVID-19 counselling and screening centres have been started in the district apart from Durga Mandap, Udalguri, where people can go for COVID-19 testing between 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The new centres are Khairabari H S School, Tangla H S School and Mazbat College.

One additional centre was also opened at Udalguri BPHC meeting hall. In these centres, RTPCR sample will also be collected if RAT is found to be negative. After 1.30 p.m. the health team in each health block visits areas with dense population like jail, barracks, market areas and offices to test people through RAT. In a significant development, 497 persons were tested using RAT in the district on the first day of opening of the new screening and counselling centres.
