ULFA (I) Cadre, Two Linkmen Apprehended by Sivasagar Police

DEMOW: With few days left for the Independence Day celebration, a suspected ULFA (I) cadre and two linkmen were apprehended by Sivasagar Police on Friday night from Bokota Barpial Habi Gaon near Demow. A grenade was recovered from their possession.

According to sources, Sivasagar District Police along with the CRPF jawans conducted a search operation on Friday night and apprehended ULFA (I) linkman Jitumaan alias Babu Tamuly. Another linkman, Arun Dehingia was also apprehended from Masoi near Demow on Friday night. According to sources, a suspected ULFA (I) cadre, Biren Chetia, resident of Bezapathar near Demow, was also apprehended on Friday night. The police recovered a grenade and three mobile phones from their possession added sources.
