DIBRUGARH: Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday attended an important meeting of the Dibrugarh Municipal Corporation to review and discuss key developmental issues concerning the town.
The meeting was held in the presence of State Cabinet Minister Prasanta Phukan, Mayor Dr Saikat Patra, Deputy Mayor Ujjal Phukan, ward councillors, and senior officials of the Dibrugarh Municipal Corporation.
A range of issues related to the overall development of Dibrugarh were discussed during the meeting, with a special focus on the recurring problem of artificial flooding in the town. The discussions centred on identifying effective and sustainable solutions to address the long-standing drainage and waterlogging challenges.
The meeting also covered other civic concerns, infrastructure development, and ongoing municipal initiatives aimed at improving urban governance and public services in Dibrugarh.
