Gossaigaon: The United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL), in its bid to strengthen the party and to woo the voters before the BTC election, 2020, on Sunday organized an open meet at Malaguri MV School playground under Gossaigaon subdivision of Kokrajhar district.

The meeting was presided over by Nripen Basumatary, president of no.4 Jamduar Block Committee. Addressing the valedictory session, Ukil Mushahary, central organizing secretary, urged the local people to support their party in the upcoming election to form a hassle-free government. On the other hand, Pratibha Brahma, vice-president of the central committee UPPL, alleged that the ruling BPF was destroying the natural resources available in the BTAD area to a large extent which was a matter of concern. Hence, to form a corruption-free government in BTC and to protect the natural resources, she appealed to people to cast their valuable votes in support of UPPL.

Nur Hasan Ansary, general secretary of the Minority Cell of UPPL, strictly condemned the role played by Naba Kumar Sarania, MP of Kokrajhar LS, in dividing the Bodo and non-Bodo people in the name of politics.
