Unruly Youth Punches Police Officer In Assam, Arrested
"He punched me on my nose. My nose is bleeding," the police officer alleged. Further police detained some youths in connection with the incident.
GUWAHATI: Amid the Durga puja festivity, a youth physically attacked an on-duty police officer near a puja pandal.
The youth, allegedly, attacked the on-duty officer over a no-entry traffic sign. The victim officer said that he was punched on his nose by the youth while he tried to control a group of unruly youths.
"He punched me on my nose. My nose is bleeding," he alleged. Police detained some youths in connection with the incident.
On the other hand in Guwahati, a scuffle broke out between Latasil Police and the owner of a fast-food restaurant in Guwahati on Thursday night.
As per the police report, the restaurant owner has allegedly flouted the night curfew guidelines issued by the Assam Government.
Sources informed that the owner was running his restaurant beyond the prescribed hours by the state government.
Reportedly, the police personnel asked the owner of the shop to shut down the shop by 10 pm, however, they were confronted by the individual which led to a heated situation in the area.
Three people identified as Utsav Bhuyan, Indrajit Bhuyan and Trishanil Neog were injured during the scuffle.
