Utpal Pujari, a science teacher of Doomdooma Girls’ Higher Secondary School gets warm farewell

DOOMDOOMA: Utpal Pujari, a science teacher of Doomdooma Girls’ Higher Secondary School was accorded a warm farewell on his superannuation from service. The farewell meeting held on Friday at the auditorium of the school was chaired by the former teacher and former president of the School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) Arjun Baruah.

In the beginning, a Borgeet was sung by a student of the school named Kakoli Kalita. Utpal Pujari was accorded warm felicitation by the school authority, staff and the students with phulam gamocha, chelleng chadar, sarai, a citation and bundle of gifts.

In his farewell speech, Pujari became nostalgic and recalled some of the memorable events of his service life. The meeting was also addressed by the Principal of the school Sangeeta Borkakoty, teachers Mahesh Mahato, Ranu Patowari, Litamoni Ekka. In their speeches they highlighted various aspects of Utpal Pujari’s life and works as an ideal teacher. Students Kongona Bharali presented a Jyoti Sangeet while Pori Sonowal and Prerana Baruah presented a dance item each.
