DIBRUGARH: Borbaruah police recovered a two-by-two pipe and an iron rod from a drain in Patar gaon in Borbaruah, Dibrugarh on Tuesday. Police also recovered four bullets which were procured from Nagaland. But the police are yet to recover the pistol which was procured from Nagaland at Rs 45,000.
Police suspect that the murderers used these weapons during the murder.
“Our investigation is on. We have found many things but we cannot reveal them now. They used both the items during the murder according to their confession. We recovered both the items after a long search. We have collected the items and sent them from forensic,” said a police official.
A police team from Borbaruah police station will recreate the crime scene to know the exact circumstances of the murder. On Sunday, police arrested a mother-daughter duo along with two others, a 21-year-old named Dipjyoti Buragohain and a 17-year-old boy for the murder of Uttam Gogoi, who lived in Lahon gaon, Barbaruah, and who was found dead in his home on July 25. What looked like a robbery turned out to be a planned murder involving his closest family.
