
SOUTH SALMARA: The Assam police has recovered the stolen motorcycle of Uttarakhand rider Noni in Fakirganj, South Salmara Mankachar district. The motorcycle was stolen from a guest house in Sarusajai and was found at Prem Bazar in Fakirganj after a joint effort by the Basistha Police Station and the Fakirganj Police.
The recovery operation resulted in the arrest of two persons suspected to be involved in the theft. The suspects have been identified as Firoz Qazi, son of Afsar Kazi of Balatari village, and Ashraful Dewan, son of Abdul Jobbar, a resident of Basanipara village in Fakirganj.
In a bold move to advance the investigation, the two suspects were transported overnight to Guwahati for further interrogation. Law enforcement agencies are now conducting a thorough investigation to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the theft and to determine if there are any connections to a larger criminal network.
In another case, a West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) team from the Jalukbari Police Station recovered a Tata Magic vehicle in Sipajhar. The vehicle was stolen from the Adabari parking lot. Based on credible information, the police tracked the stolen vehicle and arrested Dhanmoni Hazarika, a Mangaldoi resident, in relation to the theft. Legal proceedings have been launched against the accused while the investigation is ongoing.
