Vehicle riders fined for not wearing face masks in Morigaon

MORIGAON: Morigaon Police on Monday strictly ensured that vehicle riders followed COVID protocol. The district administration had earlier made it compulsory for people to wear masks before stepping out of their homes. But many people were seen flouting this directive. Morigaon Police started checking vehicles on Monday and fined vehicle riders who were not wearing masks. The police collected fine of Rs 1,000 from 100 vehicle riders who had violated the COVID-19 protocols.
