Village head arrested

Joysagar, May 22: Sonari Police arrested the village head of Atalpathar Gaon under Sapekhati development block on Monday on charge of harassing a widow of the same village. Prafulla Gogoi (48) allegedly was harassing a poor widow for a long time and also tried to dupe her in selling a plot of land which belonged to her husband Moni Gogoi. Finally, the widow lodged an FIR following which Sonari Police arrested Prafulla.
