Villagers demand appointment of Gaon Burah in Golaghat district

GOLAGHAT: The villagers of greater Mout gaon under Kacharihat Mouza in Golaghat district are facing various problems as the gaon burah's post has been lying vacant for more than three years. In a public petition, the villagers said that they were facing various problems since the gaon burah's post was lying vacant. The gaon burah in villages plays an important role in verifying persons and in giving certificates for identification. The villagers of Mout gaon revenue village have demanded the authority concerned to appoint a permanent gaon burah in the village soon.
