Voter registration forms launched at Margherita Sub-Division

TINSUKIA: The new user-friendly voter registration forms have been launched at Margherita Sub-Division in the conference hall of the Block Development Officer, Margherita on Monday. Palash Rajkumar Ahom, DEO briefed the attendees about the amendments in the RP Act 1950 by the Ministry of Law & Justice on recommendations of the ECI and apprised them about the four qualifying dates as eligibility for new electors. i.e. January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1 and voluntary linking of the Aadhaar with the Voter Id. The DEO formally launched the four forms i.e. Form 6, 6B, 7, and 8 and distributed Form 6 & 6B among the AEROs and EROs. The DEO urged each one to do their bit in the successful summary revision of the electors.

The programme was followed by a training session for the AEROs/BLO Supervisor/ BLO on ERONET, GARUDA, VHA voter portals in connection with the special summary revision-2023.
