Vultures found dead at Milanpur under Chhaygaon constituency

PALASBARI: About 110 vultures were found dead at Milanpur under Chhaygaon constituency on Thursday evening. The forest department and locals believe that the vultures died of food poisoning after eating goat carcasses.

On beign informed, the authority of the West Kamrup Forest division arrived at the spot and recovered some vultures in a critical stage. According to a source, an injured eagle was also recovered. Meanwhile, the death of almost hundreds of vultures at a time has alarmed animal lovers.
