Wanted Criminal Raja Bailung Arrested in Panaji

JORHAT: Wanted criminal Raja Bailung (26), who assaulted a section of Jorhat police officials on the night of August 14 in the busy Gar-Ali area, went into hiding soon after the incident.

Police was after him and picked up several of his associates. Based on intelligence input, Goa Police managed to arrest Raja Bailung from the resort in Panaji on Sunday night.

A three-member Jorhat police team reached Panaji on Monday evening to bring him back to Jorhat by Wednesday, said police sources.
