Wild jumbos wreak havoc entering the Dhekiajuli Tea Estate and terrorising people

DHEKIAJULI: On Sunday, a herd of five wild jumbos entered the Dhekiajuli Tea Estate and created panic among the people. The wild jumbos came from the neighbouring Sonai Rupai Sanctuary. Later on, getting information about the entry of the wild jumbos inside the Dhekiajuli Tea Estate, the local forest officials rushed to the spot and tried to push back the wild jumbos from the tea estate with the help of some local youths by bursting crackers. But the forest officials did not succeed in their attempt till sunset.
