TINSUKIA: A married woman who was allegedly subjected to domestic violence has been moving from pillar to post for justice for a fortnight even as Tinsukia Sadar police registered a case against her husband and his parents under 498 (A).

According to FIR, Sandhya Agarwal (nee Kaur) was married to Vikash Agarwal of JP Agarwala Path of Chaliha Nagar, Tinsukia on 29.5.2021 and since then Vikah, along with his parents Om Prakash Agarwal and Usha Agarwal, began torturing her physically and mentally on petty issues and situation has come to such a pass that it has become unbearable for her and she apprehends that her in-laws may kill her.

She also told before media persons that dowry issue was not involved. She however, refrained from disclosing that. While her husband Vikash declined to comment on the issue before media, she approached Guru Singh Sabha Tinsukia and Mahila Samity for justice, but of no avail.
