Woman dies in road mishap in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: In a shocking incident, a woman of Shantinagar, Kokrajhar died on the spot when she was hit by a speeding tractor coming from the opposite direction at Bhattarmari. According to family sources, Mayuri Gogoi Mukerjee (36), wife of Tushar Kanti Mukerjee of Shantinagar, was going towards Bhattarmari in Kokrajhar on Thursday when her Scooty dashed against a speeding tractor bearing no AS 16 C/ 4955 coming from the opposite direction. Mayuri was the owner of Mayuri Beauty Parlour of Kokrajhar. The driver of the tractor, Sunil Basumatary was arrested by Kokrajhar Police.
