Woman kills her child, commits suicide at Palashbari

BOKO: Deepti Mali, mother of two sons from Rangamati village, some 30 km from Guwahati city, Under Palashbari Police Station in Kamrup district choked her four-year-old son and committed suicide by hanging inside her house on Wednesday.

Though Deepti Mali locked the house before choking her son and committing suicide, her elder son witnessed the whole scene and raised an alarm.

The villagers and police broke the door but found the mother-son duo dead. Though her brother suspected it to be a murder, neighbors said that she had been suffering from illness for the last two-three months. She was treated by her husband for a long period and she took treatment at her mother’s house for one month.
