Woman, son killed in tragic road mishap in Hojai district

Hojai: Raju Chauhan (18) and his mother Montesari Devi (48) died in a tragic road accident in the Lalungdubi area under Lanka Police station of Hojai district on Thursday. The accident happened in the Lalungdubi area near the BS Memorial School, which is 22 km from Kheroni. According to eyewitnesses, they were returning home on a bike after attending a marriage ceremony in Hojai. Raju Chauhan was riding the bike (AS02N 77 95). He lost control after his bike fell into a deep pothole. A truck (AS01AC 8827) coming from the opposite direction hit Raju Chauhan and he died on the spot while his mother was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries where the doctor declared her brought dead.
