Women of Demow staged a sit-in protest against Citizenship (Amendment) Act

DEMOW: Women of Demow and its surrounding areas staged a sit-in against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act in Demow Public Playground on Saturday. The protest was organized by the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) and 30 ethnic organizations in Demow.

The women held placards in their hands and shouted various slogans against the government. On the other hand, Manab Adhikar Sangram Samiti (MASS), Sivasagar district committee also staged sit-in in Demow Public Playground on Saturday and the activists demanded that the CAA should be scrapped.
