Women’s College GB gets new president Buddhadeb Choudhury

SILCHAR: Governing body of Women’s College, Silchar had been reconstituted with Buddhadeb Choudhury as the new president. Director of Higher Education Dr Dharmakanta Mili in an order had appointed Choudhury as the president of this premier institute of Barak Valley. Choudhury replaced Prof Sankar Bhattacharjee, former principal of Women’s College who also served the president of the governing body. Choudhury was the former principal of Sirajul Ali Higher Secondary School. A close aide of Silchar MLA Deepayan Chakraborty, Buddhadeb Choudhury was also his nominee to the governing body of Cachar College.
