SIVASAGAR:  A one-day district-level workshop on ‘Advantage Assam 2.0- Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025’ was held at Sivasagar Yuvadal on Tuesday. The event was jointly organized by the Sivasagar District Administration, District Industries and Commerce Centre (DICC), Sivasagar, and DICC, Charaideo.

Dr Ranoj Pegu, Guardian Minister of Sivasagar district attended the event as chief guest, while Aayush Garg, District Commissioner of Sivasagar, Dr Neha Yadav, District Commissioner of Charaideo, Samiran Bora, District Development Commissioner of Sivasagar, along with other officials from the district administrations of Sivasagar and Charaideo were also present on the occasion.

As part of the workshop, Tushar Pratim Gohain, General Manager of DICC, Sivasagar, delivered a multimedia presentation highlighting the key aspects of the event’s central theme.

A special address was given by Upamanyu Borkakoty, the inventor of the world’s first bagless tea and a successful entrepreneur from Sivasagar. He shared insights from his 10-year business journey and revealed that he secured an investment of Rs 50 lakh from Sony TV’s Shark Tank India for his project.

During the Question & Answer and discussion session, entrepreneurs from various sectors across the two districts highlighted the challenges they face and requested government support in improving facilities relevant to their businesses. In his speech, Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu assured entrepreneurs that their concerns would be addressed and encouraged them to stay connected with relevant government departments to avail the necessary benefits and support.
