TANGLA: In a bid to mould the energy of children in a positive manner, a five-day long summer workshop on arts, crafts and allied activities was held here at Tangla Model High School in Tangla town of Udalguri district, which concluded on Tuesday. The event, hosted under the aegis of We Human’s Foundation NGO, witnessed participation of school students, who engaged themselves in a variety of engaging activities including art and craft sessions, yoga classes, painting, and friendly games and competitions aimed at nurturing creativity, mindfulness, and team spirit among young participants.
The closing day witnessed enthusiastic participation in a plantation drive, promoting environmental awareness among the children. This was followed by a colourful cultural event where students showcased their talents through songs, dance.
The event was attended by Principal of Tangla Model HS School Bhajan Sarkar, Chairman of Tangla Municipal Board Kamal Choudhury, businessman Nayan Baruah, HoD of Bengali, Tangla College Avijit Chakraborty, Arup Jyoti Rabha, and physician Dr Gaurab Das, among others. Advisor of the NGO Sadananda Sahariah reaffirmed that the social group had been conducting such events for the past three years. He also stated that such activities contribute to the holistic development of children.
