Workshop on Human- Elephant Conflict organized in Sibsagar Commerce College

DEMOW: Aaranyak, a non-profit and non-governmental organization in association with Mass Communication Centre and Department of Assamese, Sibsagar Commerce College and in collaboration with Sivasagar Media Fraternity, organized a workshop on Human- Elephant Conflict in Sibsagar Commerce College on Sunday. An interaction with media persons of Sivasagar district was organized in the workshop on Sunday. Manoj Kumar Borthakur, local media person of Sivasagar inaugurated the workshop. Dr.Bibhuti P Lahkar, Wildlife Biologist of Aaranyak by his Powerpoint presentation spoke at length about human-elephant conflict.

Jayanta Kumar Pathak, Senior Manager of Environment Education spoke about Aaranyak. In the workshop, the officials of Aaranyak also took suggestion from the media persons of Sivasagar District regarding Human-Elephant Conflict. Dr.Saumar Jyoti Mahanta, Principal of Sibsagar Commerce College, Dr.Surajit Giri, an Anaesthesia Specialist in Demow Model Hospital, officials of Aaranyak including Bijay Shankar Borah, Anjan Barua, Gunajit Mazumder were present in the workshop.
