DOOMDOOMA: Under the auspices of the Tinsukia District Academic Council, a district level workshop for the head of institutions on New Education Policy (NEP), 2020 along with how to maintain cash books, service books and on examination held recently by SEBA and its Spoken English App' were held at Senairam HS School, Tinsukia on Tuesday.
In the beginning, the Inspector of Schools Bitupon Hazarika welcomed the guests. Attending the workshop as resource person, Dr Madan Sarmah, former Vice-Chancellor in-charge, Tezpur University, explained in detail the objectives and the importance of the NEP, 2020. In view of the drastic changes that had taken place all over the world in the wake of globalisation and digitalization, it had become imperative to make changes in our education policy so as to enable the students to adapt themselves to the changed situation, he said.
