Workshop on RKVY-RAFTAR scheme held in Silchar
A zonal-level workshop was held under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana- Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied Sector Rejuvenation (RVKY-RAFTAR) Scheme

SILCHAR: A zonal-level workshop was held under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana- Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied Sector Rejuvenation (RVKY-RAFTAR) Scheme at the campus of Office of the District Fishery Development Officer as a part of Good Governance Week.
The workshop was graced by Additional Deputy Commissioner Yuvaraj Borthakur, A Hussain, Deputy CEO, Cachar Zilla Parishad, Subodh Das, Representative of Minister of Fisheries, Government of Assam, H R Mondal, District Fishery development officer, Hailakandi, S Handique, incharge DFDO Cachar and the officials of Barak Valley Fishery Departments.
A total of 100 farmers from various districts of Cachar, Hailakandi, Karimganj participated in the workshop. The workshop was inaugurated with the lighting of the light by the dignitaries. Speaking on the occasion, Additional deputy commissioner Yuvaraj Borthakur highlighted on the sights where agriculture specially fishery sectors can be grown more. ADC Borthakur also laid stress on the importance of introducing different culture systems to increase the fish production in the district. The dignitaries present also gave relevant speech on the occasion. The specialists from the teachnical section spoke at length about paddy-cum-fish culture, modern fish production technologies etc, stated a press release.
