TINSUKIA:The Tinsukia district administration organized a workshop on 'Sushasan Saptah-Prashasan Gaon Ki' at the DC's conference hall where heads all line departments presented the progress of various schemes in their respective departments on Friday.
Hemanta Narzari, former civil servant and also former DC of Tinsukia, was present as chief guest. The DC of Tinsukia, Narsing Pawar while welcoming the guest also laid down the objective of the meeting. Addressing the officials, Narzari exhorted them to work for the development of the district. Elaborate presentations were held on education, health, social welfare, agriculture and activities of Krishi Vigyan Kendra.
On Thursday, Tinsukia DC Narsing Pawar briefed media persons about the various components of the week-long programme. Out of 84 gaon panchyats 50 villages will be covered in two days where officials will interact with the villagers about their problems. At the conclusion of the week-long programme, a vision document will be prepared based on participatory approach, informed Pawar.
