A workshop was organized at Basantalata-Bishweswar Changkakati Sowarani Sankardev Shishu Niketan on Monday

LAKHIMPUR: A workshop was organized at Basantalata-Bishweswar Changkakati Sowarani Sankardev Shishu Niketan on Monday covering the mothers of the students of class Ankur and Mukul. The workshop was held in order to discuss the role of mothers with regard to facilitating enjoyable teaching for physical, mental, intellectual and cultural development of the children

The agenda of the event began with the lighting of earthen lamp by PranitaSarmah, the vice-president of the Niketan Management Committee. Then the acharyas and acharyaas of the Niketan presented the vandana. Acharya Pradip Hazarika delivered the welcome address.

In the first session of the workshop, Acharya Jamini Devi and Sanjay Gogoi took part as resource person on children's song and vandana presentation. In the second session, Devajani Chamuah, the Shishu Kunja Pramukh of Dhakuakhana Niketan, delivered speech on 'Role of mothers while facilitating enjoyable teachings to the children'. In the third session, Kiran Sarmah, the Shishu Vatika Pramukh of North Lakhimpur Niketan, took part as resource person on the topic of language teaching and learning methods.

On the other hand, Shishu Kunja Acharya of Dhakuakhana Niketan, Dharma Gogoi conducted the fourth session on drawing and other allied activities. A total of 62 mothers of the students attended the workshop.
