World Consumer Rights Day observed in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: Following the instruction of government of Assam, the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCSCA) Department of Golaghat on Friday observed the World Consumer Rights Day at the office premises.

In this regard, a meeting was held under the presidentship of In-charge Deputy Director of Golaghat FCSCA Ajit Kumar Sarma and the aim and purposes of the programme was elaborated by Sub-Inspector Mriganka Krishna Gogoi. In this meeting several dignitaries took part. Talking part in the meeting, retired office in defense Colonel Benudhar Saikia spoke on about right over consumer affairs. He said that due to ignorance and lake of awareness, consumers would have to face various problems and have been deprived from their rights. In the meeting, social worker Badan Nath and businessman Pranab Kumar Saikia also delivered speech on consumer rights.
