World Education Day observed at Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev Vishwavidyalaya

NAGAON: Along with rest of the world, the Department of Education, Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev Vishwavidyalaya also observed the World Education Day at the university campus here on Friday.
Triveni Saikia, Head, Department of Education, welcomed the guests as well as the other attendees in the programme while Ankita Dutta, a student of the university anchored the session. Education is a fundamental right, a documentary was also screened under special pursuance of Professor Gaurav pratim Hazarika during the programme.
Mrinal Kr Bora, Registrar of Srimanta Sankardev Vishwavidyalaya, ceremonially released the wall magazine Vidyanaam of all education. During the programme, the organizers also felicitated three successful students of Srimanta Sankardev Vishwavidyalaya - Bibek Gope, Mridusmita Talukdar and Lipika Kalita for clearing the NET examination this year. Superintendent of Police, Nagaon, Leena Doley was present in the programme as the chief guest.
