World TB Day observed in Morigaon District at TB office campus

MORIGAON: World TB Day was observed on Tuesday inside the District TB office campus. In view of the restrictions to prevent the spread of coronavirus, there was no mass gathering. In the presence of Superintendent of MCH, Dr. Nabin Bhuyan, the DPO of TB, Dr Mukul Ch. Das said that Dr Robert Koch of Berlin, Germany discovered Mycobacterium tuberculosis on March 24, 1882. Since then, tuberculosis (TB) had been known by different names.
