Xattriya culture exponent Durlabh Dev Goswami critically ill

Lakhimpur: Noted exponent of Xattriya culture, Durlabh Dev Goswami has been critically ill for the last couple of days. At present, the cultural personality is under treatment at a private nursing home in Guwahati. He is the resident of the Basudev Than Naruwa Xatra, the noted Baishnav Peeth of the north-eastern region, located in Dhakuakhana of the Lakhimpur district.

Durlabh Dev Goswami has been ill for a long period. As a result of it, he was shifted to Guwahati for advanced treatment. But his health condition deteriorated critically and the attending doctors are observing him by keeping him in the ICU for the last two days. The family has already exhausted its financial resources in managing the medical treatment of the only earning member of the family.. Besides his wife, Goswami has a son who is a student. Under such circumstances, the family has sought help from Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarmah, Health Minister Keshab Mahanta, Dhakuakhana MLA Naba Kumar Doley and well-wishers and devotees of the Xatra.
