‘Yoga is a Profound Way of Life’: Yoga Practitioner Ranjit Kakati

LAKHIMPUR: The 15-day long free of cost yoga workshop, organized by Telahi-Kamalaboria Anchalik Sajagata Krira Santha, a sports association of Lakhimpur district, concluded successfully on Sunday.

The workshop was organized at the Panigaon MV School premises for physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual development of all kinds of people. As chief coaches, eminent yoga practitioners Ranjit Kakati and Sanjib Borah conducted the yoga practices in the workshop which commenced from October 13. Over 100 people from every walk of life, including students, underwent yoga training in the workshop.

On the occasion of the conclusion of the programme, a concluding ceremony was held in a befitting manner under the management of the workshop management committee secretary, Jiban Khataniar and sport association president Paresh Phukan. Former Principal of Lakhimpur Basic Training Centre, Kinaram Gogoi, octogenarian social activist Jivan Bhagawati, among others, took part in the programme as guests of honour.

Addressing the workshop, Ranjit Kakati said, “Practice of yoga is nothing but a profound way of life which helps the practitioners to attain a state of consciousness all the time. It should be practiced for holistic development and to possess dexterity in action.” He further appealed to the trainees to use the power of yoga for individual as well as social betterment.
