KOKRAJHAR: A young Bodo actor, who was also a Sound and recording engineer from T-Series Industries, New Delhi, Monojit Narzary passed away on Saturday evening at his Tengapara residence in Kokrajhar after prolonged illness. He leaves behind his wife, two children and parents. He was 45.

Narzary was a talented artiste. He entered his journey in the Bodo film world in 2005 when he acted in the first Bodo album Angnigwdwnigwdwirao. Besides, he worked with Mwsakhaori Film Productions, Kokrajhar and starred in PathwilaiBisinai, Somainabibarnigesaodentha and Golamnimwdwi. He also acted in different films and albums that earned him appreciation.

Narzary had his own film studio, Sangita Melodies Studio in Kokrajhar where many Bodo films were edited. He was cremated on Sunday as per traditions of the Bodos. Many artistes, film producers and well wishers offered last tribute to him.

Meanwhile, former president of All Bodo Artistes' Association BikashBasumatary, president of DularaiBoroHarimuAfat (DBHA), Jogeswar Brahma and others expressed shock over his untimely demise.
