Youth allegedly killed by cousin at Naharkatia

NAHARKATIA: A murder allegedly took place at Naharkatia Sassoni Halua Gaon on Wednesday night. According to source, there was a conflict between Diganta Gogoi, a resident of Sassoni Halua Gaon, and his son Himanta Gogoi (29). His cousin Pulin Gogoi tried to control the situation. But as the situation worsened, Pulin Gogoi attacked his brother Himanta Gogoi with a bamboo stick. Unfortunately, the bamboo stick pierced his chest and Himanta fell down. Immediately, he was admitted to the Civil Hospital, Naharkatia but the doctor referred him to Dibrugarh AMCH. But doctors in AMCH declared him dead. Himanta Gogoi's father stated that it was an accident. Meanwhile, Naharkatia Police have arrested the accused Pulin Gogoi.
