Assam Rifles apprehends NSCN-K cadre in Kohima

KOHIMA: Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police apprehended one active NSCN-K (NIKI SUMI) cadre from the Box Cutting Area of Kohima Town on April 19. One 0.32 pistol, a magazine, and three live rounds were recovered from him. He revealed his name as SS Captain Alopo Yepthomi. Since last year, he along with other cadres had been staying in Kohima town and were reportedly involved in extortion activities. The apprehended cadre, along with weapons and ammunition, have been handed over to the Kohima Police, stated a press release.
