27th BSF Wives’ Association Day Celebrated with Gaiety in Silchar

Silchar: The 27th BSF Border Security Force Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) Day - 2019 was celebrated with all gaiety and joy on Thursday at the headquarters of BSF Frontier Mizoram & Cachar, Masimpur, joined by all sectors and units under its jurisdiction. The Border Security Force Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) trains and assists wives of BSF Wives personnel in areas which include skill generation, education of children, introducing new opportunities as well avenues to wives of BSF personnel as well as their children, career counseling, health, lifestyle, housing for widows and sharing and resolving their problems so that wives of BSF personnel should not feel loneliness and are geared up to face challenges in life.

The programme was organized under the guidance Vijaya Mahali, President BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA), Mizoram and Cachar Frontier. All esteemed wives of serving BSF personnel along with their children of the Frontier force, 7 Bn BSF, 131 Bn BSF and 134 Bn BSF located at Masimpur took part in the celebration with full zeal and enthusiasm.

The function was marked by a colourful cultural programme by women and wards of BWWA members. Besides, cookery competition, mehandi competition and selection of best performer lady workers among others. were organized. Apart from that, widows of BSF martyrs residing in Barak Valley also attended the programme. They were felicitated and presented with gifts on the occasion. Prizes and gifts were also distributed to the winners of various events to boost their morale.
