ATM card snatcher arrested in Silchar

Silchar: Incidents of money and ATM cards being snatched away from ATM counters are on the rise. Recently, Tipu Miya Laskar (24) was caught red handed when he tried to snatch an ATM card from Phuleswari Barman (49) while she was trying to withdraw money from a SBI ATM counter at Lakhichora under Jirighat police station.

Tipu Miya Laskar is a resident of Banskandi Gobindapur Part – I (Nandapur). He was then produced before the SDJM court. He was interrogated by Inspector Anwar Hussain Choudhury, officer in-charge of Lakhipur police station and ASI D Sinha of Lakhipur police station. Now he is at Silchar Central Jail.
