Chotto Prochesta NGO distributes blankets in Silchar

Silchar: Chotto Prochesta NGO which has been making mark by reaching out to the people residing in remote areas in and around Silchar distributed 184 blankets among people living in Rengti Basti village in Ambicapur GP. People of Budhurail, Rajpur, Shyampur, Merua, Chandrapur, Kathal Bagan, Rengti and Goalapara were the beneficiaries. The distribution of blankets at Taltola Shibbari premises of Rengti Basti village was followed by a cultural programme.

Rajib Choudhury of Chotto Prochesta related how the NGO has been sailing without any government help. They have been doing such Samiritan work for the last 5 years. Till date they have distributed more than 1000 blankets. Other members of the NGO Bikramjit Chakraborty, Puspendu Chakraborty, Purnendu Das, Rajashri Paul, Saurav Purkayastha, Rohit Das, Sudip Das, Tapash Das, Monojit Das, Sweety Dusadh and around 50 other members of the NGO participated in the programme. All expressed their satisfaction and said that more projects are in the pipeline.
