Cleanliness drive conducted at Silchar

Silchar: 13 Bn BSF ‘Tanot Warrior’ ‘D’ Company conducted cleanliness drive on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

The drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was held at Binnakandi Ghat market at Lakhipur. Volunteers came in large number and participated in the drive. 40 BSF personnel of Tanot Warrior along with local VDP and local people made the drive a successful one.

Later, Inspector Sandeep Siyag, company commandant ‘D’ Company 13 Bn BSF, delivered an enlightening lecture on cleanliness and its importance. He also appreciated the efforts of the volunteers, VDP, the local people and all others involved in it. He said it was just a small step towards a clean and green India and that they have miles to go.
